Synopsis
Father's Day (2011) is a Canadian horror-comedy you can watch online on iFILM — a gleefully tasteless grindhouse throwback about a killer who preys on other men's dads.
Ahab wants blood. Years ago a creature named Chris Fuchman murdered his father, and the thought has been eating him alive ever since. His posse forms by accident: Twink, a foul-mouthed street hustler, and John, a priest with far too much enthusiasm for the hunt. Together they chase a monster most of the city writes off as urban legend, through a plot that drops all logic in favor of gore and gags.
The film was built by Astron-6, a Winnipeg collective who split directing duties five ways and play half the cast themselves. Everything is shot to look like a scratched, sun-bleached VHS tape, complete with fake commercials and proudly cheap effects. Troma put it out, and studio founder Lloyd Kaufman turns up in a bit part. Strictly for fans who treat bad taste as a craft. Stream Father's Day (2011) online on iFILM.
