Human Planet (Season 1)

Human Planet (2011) is a BBC documentary series you can watch online on iFILM, narrated by John Hurt. Eight episodes, each set in a different world: the Arctic, jungles, deserts, mountains, oceans, rivers, cities and grasslands.

The series tracks eighty real stories of human survival and ingenuity — cliff-face honey hunters in Nepal, fishermen free-diving beyond twenty meters, nomadic families crossing frozen Mongolian steppe with their livestock. No dramatizations. The crews went to the places and filmed the people who actually live there.
