Synopsis
Rick and Morty Season 4 (2019) — Adult Swim, 10 episodes, watch online on iFILM. Coming off the emotional density of season three, the show loosens up: mostly standalone adventures, held together by tone rather than a running arc.
Morty gets his hands on Death Crystals that show every possible version of his death, and immediately fixates on one very specific outcome. Rick tracks down whoever used his private bathroom on a scenic alien planet. Morty acquires a dragon from a wizard; the arrangement escalates well past what the wizard had in mind. One episode gives Morty a save-state remote control — the joke has a punchline that stings. The season closer puts two versions of Beth in the same room: the one who stayed to raise a family and the one who went to fight the Galactic Federation.
