Synopsis
Big Bad Wolves (מי מפחד מהזאב הרע, 2013) is an Israeli crime thriller laced with pitch-black humour — watch it online on iFILM. Directors Navot Papushado and Aharon Keshales built the film around three men whose paths collide after a series of brutal child murders: the grief-destroyed father of a victim, a cop who long ago stopped caring about legal limits, and the theology teacher everyone suspects.
The teacher ends up in a basement with the father and the cop. What follows is 109 minutes of slow, methodical tension — interrogation, improvised cruelty and a persistent question underneath it all about who exactly the real monster is. The film never lets any of its characters off the hook.
Quentin Tarantino called it the best film of 2013. Papushado and Keshales work in the uncomfortable space where genuine dread and dark comedy overlap — the torture is unsparing, the laughs arrive at exactly the wrong moments. Stream Big Bad Wolves (2013) online on iFILM.
