Synopsis
Gone Fishin' (1997) is a buddy comedy you can watch online on iFILM, pairing Joe Pesci and Danny Glover as two lifelong friends who want one thing in life: a proper fishing trip. Christopher Cain directs.
Joe and Gus head down to Florida chasing the catch of a lifetime, and the trip falls apart almost immediately. Their car and boat get stolen, they end up tangled with a slippery con man, and somewhere along the way they stumble into hidden jewels and a pair of glamorous strangers. The harder the two try to fix things, the bigger the wreckage they leave behind.
This is a goofy, sunburnt slice of nineties farce that lives or dies on its leads — Pesci all hot-headed bluster, Glover playing the calm one, both of them drowning in their own bad luck.
