The newlyweds at its center, Jillian and Tom, did not enter the marriage honestly. Each carried a secret in. Then a strange door turns up in their basement, and what they buried starts surfacing on its own. A witnessed murder, a friend from Jillian's past who will not leave Tom alone, a grand gesture that could split them for good — across these episodes the lies stop being private and start hunting the couple in person.
