Miracle Workers (2019), Season 4 is a ten-episode comedy you can watch online on iFILM, and it sends the anthology into a post-apocalyptic future before dropping its heroes into a far scarier place: the suburbs.
Lone wasteland road warrior Sid, played by Daniel Radcliffe, and ruthless warlord Freya, played by Geraldine Viswanathan, trade the wars of Boomtown for married life in a tidy little house. Looming over them is Morris, a rich junk trader brought to life by Steve Buscemi. From there the season mines domestic dread for laughs — a homeowners' association election, couples therapy, a fight to get a kid into a fancy school, and Freya's pregnancy. The writing pinballs from Mad Max parody to a takedown of suburban contentment, with a time-travel subplot thrown in for good measure.
