Several episodes drop the main cast to follow strangers — a Black child cycled through foster families, a white man suddenly billed for reparations, a dinner at a French aristocrat's estate that turns genuinely sinister. When the regulars do surface, the continent meets them as curiosities: Sinterklaas in Dutch blackface, Amsterdam canals that look like liberation but aren't, fashion houses that borrow from the culture and return nothing. Paper Boi is famous in Europe now. It solves less than expected.
