Big Shot (2021) is a Disney+ family comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. John Stamos plays Marvyn Korn, a college basketball coach who hurls a chair at a referee and loses everything in one impulsive second. The only job left standing is a coaching post at Westbrook School for Girls — a private all-girls high school nowhere near the NCAA spotlight.

Korn walks in expecting to coast. He gets a group of teenagers who have their own reasons for being on that court, none of which involve winning at all costs. The show works because it does not let either side off the hook: the girls push back, and Korn is forced to become an actual mentor rather than just a tactician.
