The Facts of Life (1979) is an American sitcom you can watch online on iFILM. Edna Garrett, housemother and dietitian at the Eastland School for girls, guides her young charges through everything a teenager runs into: first crushes, falling out with friends, and the feeling that nobody quite gets you.

Charlotte Rae plays Mrs. Garrett, with a mismatched crew growing up around her — pampered Blair, wisecracking Tootie, sweet-natured Natalie, and tough Jo from the wrong side of town. The show spun off from Diff'rent Strokes and stayed on the air for nearly a decade, one of the longest-running sitcoms built around a cast of women. A fun bit for trivia hunters: a very young George Clooney played the school handyman in later seasons, and a teenage Molly Ringwald turned up in the first.
