Monk (2002), Season 5 — sixteen episodes of detective comedy to watch online on iFILM. Natalie pushes Monk to open a proper private detective agency, and the show picks up a small but real shift in energy.
Personal threads pull harder this season. A twenty-fifth college reunion stirs memories of how Monk first met Trudy. A long-absent father reappears at Christmas with complicated baggage. For the first time, Monk has what looks like a genuine friendship — whether it is genuine is the question. An attacker blinds Monk at a fire station; he refuses to stop working. Dr. Kroger shuts down his practice after a murder on the premises, and Monk has to solve it just to get his therapist back. The finale drops Monk into a hospital for a nosebleed and leaves him at the center of a doctor's death with his own safety in the balance.
