Season 1
Driven by rage. Pursued by an investigative reporter. Wanted for a murder he didn't commit. No one ever said it was easy being green.
Synopsis
The Incredible Hulk (1977), Season 1 is the sci-fi drama you can watch online on iFILM — 12 episodes of the live-action series that put Bill Bixby and bodybuilder Lou Ferrigno in the roles years before Marvel's movies existed.
Scientist David Banner overdoses on gamma radiation in a lab accident and comes away cursed: whenever rage or pain takes hold, he swells into a green creature he can't control or remember. From the pilot onward he's a fugitive. The world thinks he's dead, a tabloid reporter named Jack McGee keeps picking up his trail, and Banner drifts across the country under a string of fake surnames — working a ranch, cornering for a boxer, waiting tables at a waterfront tavern. Every episode drops him in a new town with new strangers in trouble, building to the moment his shirt finally rips apart.
The season runs on a quiet drifter-helps-the-helpless formula, carried by Bixby's sad, restrained performance rather than effects. It lands for anyone who loves seventies sci-fi and the human drama buried inside a comic-book premise. Stream The Incredible Hulk Season 1 online on iFILM.
