The opener pokes fun at Freddy's running habit of pinning every crime on Red Herring — this time the gang dares him to crack a mystery without it. After that, one of Velma's experiments gets picked for a space launch until a ghostly astronaut tries to ground it, Daphne's parents put her in charge of the mall arcade where a hairy monster turns up, and the finale drops everyone into a wrestling studio that morphs into a league of ghost grapplers. The reveal stays grounded as ever: pull the mask off the monster and you find a plain old con artist.
