A Pup Named Scooby-Doo (1988) is a Hanna-Barbera animated series you can watch online on iFILM. Set before the events of the original Scooby-Doo, this show reimagines the whole Mystery Inc. gang as kids: Scooby is still a clumsy puppy, Shaggy is just as hungry and cowardly as ever, and Daphne, Velma, and Fred are gangly grade-schoolers who somehow keep stumbling into hauntings. Don Messick reprised his role as Scooby's voice, with Casey Kasem returning as young Shaggy.

Each episode drops the group into a new ghost-and-ghoul mystery that they solve — more by accident than detective skill. The humour here skews younger and broader than the classic series, which makes it genuinely good viewing for smaller kids who might find the original a bit too creepy.
