Synopsis
The Regime (2024), Season 1 — watch online on iFILM: six HBO episodes set inside the palace of a modern European autocracy. Kate Winslet plays Elena, chancellor of a regime built on ceremony and careful control.
A battle-worn soldier named Zubak arrives at the palace on Victory Day and doesn't leave. His growing influence over Elena alarms her inner circle; advisors begin conspiring to isolate him. Elena orders a military operation, then attempts to reconnect with her people as things start unraveling outside. When the palace walls are breached, she falls back on diplomacy and outright duplicity to hold her position.
