Synopsis
God's Crooked Lines (Los renglones torcidos de Dios, 2022) is Oriol Paulo's Spanish psychological thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Private investigator Alice Gould checks herself into a psychiatric hospital under a false diagnosis to dig into a patient's suspicious death. Getting in is the easy part; getting back out is another matter.
Alice trusts her cover completely. She names the doctor who supposedly arranged her admission, lays out the case that brought her, explains every move with cool logic. The staff just hears what they expect from a patient in the grip of mania. The harder she argues her sanity, the more her file seems to confirm the illness. Bárbara Lennie carries the whole film, and you stay unsure who to believe right up to the last scene.
