Synopsis
Watch Mower Minions (2016) online on iFILM — a four-minute animated short from Illumination, directed by Glenn McCoy and Bruno Chauffard. The premise is simple: the Minions need $20 for a banana blender they saw on TV and decide to earn it by mowing lawns at a retirement home.
Nothing goes to plan. The equipment takes on a life of its own, the elderly residents become unwilling participants, and the Minions' enthusiasm scales in direct inverse proportion to their competence. Pierre Coffin voices his yellow creations as always — a language of their own, universally understood. The short packs in more physical gags per minute than many full-length comedies manage across their runtimes.
