Synopsis
Buddy Daddies (2023) is a Japanese anime from studio P.A.Works that you can watch online on iFILM. It takes two contract killers and drops them into a parenting sitcom. Kazuki and Rei share an apartment, take jobs taking people out, and one day come home with a four-year-old girl in tow.
The partners are opposites. Kazuki is hyperactive, runs the household, and can't stand a mess. Rei is a withdrawn gamer who creates one. On a hit targeting a human-trafficking boss, they cross paths with little Miri, who is wandering around looking for the father she has never met. A shootout nearly gets everyone killed — and then comes the awkward part: the man they were sent to kill was Miri's dad. With nowhere to send her, the two assassins become parents.
From there the show juggles gunfights and diaper changes, kindergarten recitals and the constant scramble to hide what "Daddy" actually does for a living.
