When Night Is Falling

Rozema films that pull with real sensuality — snow, circus lights, bodies turning in the air — and shapes the whole thing into a dreamlike fable about waking up late.

Pascale Bussières and Rachael Crawford play the couple whose chemistry holds the film together. It runs under an hour and a half and became a landmark of 1990s queer cinema: tender, visually generous, and free of any lecture.
