French Twist

French Twist (Gazon maudit, 1995) is a French romantic comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Loli has a husband who treats fidelity as optional. Then Marijo shows up — loud, confident, entirely unbothered — and falls for Loli with the kind of conviction that Laurent has never once shown his own wife.

Writer-director Josiane Balasko also plays Marijo, and the result is a comedy that dismantles male entitlement without stopping to lecture anyone about it. The film was one of France's biggest domestic hits of 1995, sold to more than thirty countries, and earned a César nomination for Best Film.
