Synopsis
Van Helsing: The London Assignment (2004) is an animated action short you can watch online on iFILM. Running 30 minutes, it serves as a prequel to the live-action Van Helsing feature, with Hugh Jackman back as the monster hunter and David Wenham returning as the gadget-obsessed friar Carl.
London, 1889. A string of gruesome killings pulls Van Helsing into the city's fog-soaked streets. The culprit is a scientist with a very particular affliction: Dr. Jekyll keeps losing himself each night to Mr. Hyde — a creature with no restraint and a very public appetite. Directed by Sharon Bridgeman, it hits the same dark action-fantasy register as the film it precedes.
