Synopsis
The Snowman (2017) is a Scandinavian crime thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Director Tomas Alfredson, who made Let the Right One In, adapts Jo Nesbø's novel about Oslo detective Harry Hole. Michael Fassbender plays Hole, a seasoned investigator assigned to a string of disappearances — married women, all gone without a trace.
Every crime scene has the same calling card: a snowman left behind. Hole starts connecting them to older unsolved cases scattered across Norway over more than a decade. Rebecca Ferguson plays his new partner as they chase a methodical killer. A parallel storyline follows a past investigation handled by a detective played by Val Kilmer, and the two timelines converge in ways that reframe the whole case. Charlotte Gainsbourg and J.K. Simmons appear in supporting roles.
