Synopsis

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney are genuinely lost from day one. The first season covers their debut campaign running Wrexham AFC: convincing decent players to sign for a club in Welsh non-league football, sitting through the home opener, debating whether to fire manager Phil Parkinson while fans grow restless, and finally making the trip to Wrexham to meet the town they now technically own. The club is chasing promotion out of the National League, and that race — not the celebrity angle — is what makes the season tense.
