Synopsis
Son of the Pink Panther (1993) is a slapstick comedy directed by Blake Edwards, available to watch online on iFILM. The eighth film in the Pink Panther series hands the baton to Italian comedian Roberto Benigni, playing Jacques Gambrelli — Inspector Clouseau's illegitimate son and, it turns out, the natural heir to his father's gift for catastrophic incompetence.
The plot sends Jacques after a gang that has kidnapped Princess Yasmin and is demanding a king's abdication along with a hundred-million-dollar ransom. Commissioner Dreyfus, played once more by Herbert Lom, discovers who Jacques really is — and nearly has a second breakdown on the spot. Claudia Cardinale appears as the queen, lending the film more poise than it probably deserves.
