Synopsis
Detective Conan: Sunflowers of Inferno (2015) is Kobun Shizuno's feature-length anime, now streaming online on iFILM. One of Van Gogh's Sunflowers canvases sells at a Japanese auction for a record price, and the hunt around the painting begins at once.
A wealthy collector wants to gather all seven works of the series under one roof, but someone threatens to burn them one by one. The phantom thief in white, Kaito Kid, slips into the scene, while young detective Conan Edogawa works to tell the forgery from the original and to figure out who's really playing with fire. The trail runs from the gallery to a private island museum.
This nineteenth film from Gosho Aoyama's manga keeps the franchise's signature mix: a clean logical mystery, big set-piece chases and Kaito Kid's sleight of hand. It lands best with longtime fans who like a case built around a painting rather than a body. Stream Sunflowers of Inferno online on iFILM.
