Lazer Team

Lazer Team (2016) is an American sci-fi action comedy you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Matt Hullum. Four small-town Texas losers stumble onto a crashed alien spacecraft carrying a battle suit in four separate pieces. Each of them snaps on a component before anyone can think it through — and now the suit is permanently bonded to four people who can barely stand each other.

The helmet, gauntlet, chest piece, and power boot each have a single function, which means the team has to operate as an actual unit to fight off the alien threat bearing down on Earth. They are not equipped for that. Starring Burnie Burns, Gavin Free, Michael Jones, and Colton Dunn, the film was produced by Rooster Teeth — the internet comedy studio — and crowdfunded on Indiegogo, making it one of the first large-scale productions to come out of YouTube-native entertainment.
