Synopsis
Inseparables (2016) is an Argentine comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM. Director Marcos Carnevale transplants the French film The Intouchables to Buenos Aires: Felipe, a wealthy quadriplegic, needs a live-in caretaker and ends up hiring Tito, his gardener's assistant, with no qualifications and no experience.
The reason: Tito is the only candidate who doesn't treat him like a patient. Oscar Martínez — who picked up Best Actor at the San Sebastián Film Festival for this role — plays Felipe with a dry wit that keeps the character from tipping into sentimentality. Rodrigo de la Serna brings just enough unpredictability as Tito to make their dynamic feel earned rather than scripted.
