Sam & Kate

Sam & Kate (2022) is a gentle dramedy you can watch online on iFILM. Sam moves back to his tiny hometown to look after his seriously ill father Bill, and ends up falling for a local woman named Kate.

Then the film does something rare: while Sam grows close to Kate, his loud, larger-than-life father starts courting her mother Tina. Two couples, two generations, one small town where everyone knows everyone. The real hook is the casting. Sam is played by Jake Hoffman opposite his actual dad, Dustin Hoffman, while Kate is played by Schuyler Fisk opposite her real mother, Sissy Spacek. That blood relation gives the family scenes an unusual, lived-in pull.
