Synopsis
Black Nativity (2013) is available to watch online on iFILM — a Christmas musical drama directed by Kasi Lemmons, drawn from Langston Hughes' 1961 stage poem of the same name.
Langston, a street-smart Baltimore teen, gets sent to New York City for the holidays to stay with grandparents he has never really known — a minister and his wife played by Forest Whitaker and Angela Bassett. Jennifer Hudson plays his mother back home; Tyrese Gibson, Mary J. Blige, and Nas round out the cast.
