Synopsis
On the Other Side of the Tracks (De l'autre côté du périph, 2012) is a French buddy-cop comedy from David Charhon that you can watch online on iFILM. Two policemen from opposite worlds are forced to share a high-profile murder case.
Ousmane (Omar Sy) is a brash cop from a rough Paris suburb who solves most problems with his fists and his nerve. François (Laurent Lafitte) is a polished, well-connected detective from the wealthy part of town. Thrown together over the killing of a business mogul's wife, the mismatched pair keep digging until the trail starts to reek of corruption near the top. Sabrina Ouazani rounds out the central trio.
The whole thing runs on the clash of two temperaments and Omar Sy's easy charm, fresh off The Intouchables. The odd-couple cop formula is familiar, but the French accent and energy give it a kick.
