Hostage (2025) is a British political thriller series you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Isabelle Sieb and Amy Neal, it opens on a single day that hits two world leaders at once: the British Prime Minister's husband is taken, and the French President begins receiving direct threats.

Suranne Jones plays the British PM — a woman being asked to crack in full view of the press. Julie Delpy is the French president managing her own parallel crisis. Both have to hold the public face together while the private calculus turns brutal. The series is less interested in the mechanics of the kidnapping than in what extreme pressure does to people who are used to holding all the power.
