Synopsis

The top candidates are shipped to an isolated outdoor camp where exams, races, surveillance and relentless pressure are meant to sort the worthy from the rest. Fail, and you're cut from the system for good. When one of them turns up dead, the flawless selection process cracks, and suspicion falls on the very rivals they were competing against.
Director Alain Gsponer transplants Ödön von Horváth's 1937 novel into a dystopia about digital control and the worship of success. Jannis Niewöhner, Alicia von Rittberg and Emilia Schüle lead the cast. A good fit if you like bleak teen dystopias along the lines of The Maze Runner, with a colder European edge.
