Synopsis
Against the Sun (2014) is a WWII survival film directed by Brian Falk, based on a documented true story — watch it online on iFILM. When their plane goes down on a Pacific scouting run, three American airmen end up on a small rubber life raft with nothing: no food, no fresh water, no radio contact. The ocean around them is very large and completely indifferent.
Tom Felton, Garrett Dillahunt, and Jake Abel play the three men — a pilot, a bombardier, and a radioman — whose real ordeal stretched across weeks at sea. The film stays on the raft with them. Storms, shark attacks, and the slow damage of sun exposure become the entire plot. There are no combat sequences and no rescue fantasies; just the arithmetic of survival when the margins keep shrinking.
Survival stories set on water tend to rely on spectacle, but this one keeps the focus tight on the three men and how they hold together — or don't. Stream Against the Sun (2014) online on iFILM.
