Synopsis
Disjointed (2017) is a Netflix comedy series you can watch online on iFILM. Kathy Bates stars as Ruth Whitefeather Feldman, a lifelong legalization activist who has finally opened her own medical marijuana dispensary in Los Angeles and now coaches her regulars on the fine art of chilling out.
Around her runs a ragtag crew: three young budtenders long on ideas and short on sense, a son who dreams of scaling the shop into a business empire, and a veteran security guard whose combat flashbacks crash into the mellow store routine as strange, almost surreal interludes. It is shot as a classic multi-camera sitcom, laugh track and all, with quick mock-commercial sketches dropped between scenes.
The show comes from Chuck Lorre, the man behind The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men, and his trademark joke rhythm is all over it. One season of twenty episodes exists. It is a loose, talky watch for a night when you would rather not think too hard. Stream Disjointed (2017) online on iFILM.
