Stick (Season 1)

Stick (2025) is an Apple TV+ comedy-drama you can watch online in good quality. Owen Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, a former golf prodigy whose career blew up after a very public meltdown on the course. Two decades later he's scraping by behind the counter of a sporting-goods store — until he spots a scruffy kid hitting balls with the kind of swing money can't teach.

Pryce bets everything on seventeen-year-old Santi (Peter Dager), determined to drag the teenager toward the pro tour and maybe pull himself out of the gutter in the process. The show turns into a road trip through small tournaments and cheap motels, picking up a sharp-tongued caddie, Mitts (Marc Maron), Santi's wary mother (Mariana Treviño), and a prickly activist named Zero (Lilli Kay). Timothy Olifant and Judy Greer drop in along the way.

Created by Jason Keller, with David Dobkin directing the pilot, the series skips the usual sports-movie beats for a warm story about a makeshift family stitched together from strangers. Wilson is right in his element here — a charming screw-up with sadness behind the grin.
