All That's Left of You

All That's Left of You (2025) is a Palestinian family saga you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Cherien Dabis, this drama reaches back roughly seven decades — from a lost home in Jaffa in 1948 to the Occupied West Bank of recent years. When her teenage son Nour is caught up in a protest that goes wrong, his mother Hanan sits down and tells him where the family really comes from.

The memory travels to grandfather Sharif, whose household is driven out of its own garden and left to live as strangers on its own land. From there the film follows a marriage, the daily humiliations that fall on Sharif's son Salim, and Nour growing up among checkpoints and unanswered injustice. Much of the Bakri acting family carries the cast — Saleh, Adam and Mohammad Bakri — while Dabis herself steps in front of the camera as Hanan, keeping the lens close enough that each generation gets its own voice.

Built as a co-production across more than ten countries, from Palestine and Jordan to Germany and the United States, the film never lectures. Dabis tells one family's story in such fine detail that the bigger tragedy comes through in kitchens, weddings and the silences at the table.
