The Detour (2016) is a TBS comedy series you can watch online on iFILM, about a family of four who set out to drive from New York to Florida and watch everything fall apart.

Behind the wheel is Nate, a dad who lies to his wife and kids more than he should and steers them from one disaster straight into the next. Robin and their children Delilah and Jared put up with roach motels, sketchy roadside attractions and a pile of secrets nobody wants aired. The farther they get, the weirder the trouble — and the more of the family's buried history leaks out.

Created by Jason Jones, who also plays Nate, and Samantha Bee, the show draws on the couple's own road trips with their kids. The humor is mean, awkward and deliberately un-PC — perfect for fans of black comedy with no soft edges. Natalie Zea holds the chaos together as Robin, all deadpan.
