Ludwig (Seasons 1–2)

Ludwig (2024) is a BBC mystery with a comic streak you can watch online on iFILM. John Taylor is a reclusive puzzle-setter who works under the pen name "Ludwig" — until his identical twin vanishes without a trace and drags him out into the world.

The missing twin, James, was a Detective Chief Inspector with the Cambridge police. To find out what happened, the painfully shy John takes a wild gamble: he assumes James's identity and walks into the murder squad in his place. A crossword brain turns out to be a useful weapon, and he cracks each case like a riddle while his new colleagues never suspect the man beside them is a fraud. Alongside his sister-in-law Lucy, he chases the one puzzle that matters — where the real inspector went.
