Synopsis
Midsomer Murders (1997–present) is ITV's long-running British detective series based on Caroline Graham's novels — stream it online on iFILM, starring John Nettles and later Neil Dudgeon.
The village of Midsomer looks like a postcard: thatched roofs, fetes, and amateur choirs. In practice it is the most reliably lethal patch of England on television, with a fresh corpse in nearly every episode. Chief Inspector Tom Barnaby (Nettles) works through each case with unhurried precision, rarely raising his voice, always finding the killer tucked inside the local community. When Nettles stepped away, his cousin Neil Barnaby, played by Dudgeon, slid into the role without missing a beat. The show has now passed 130 episodes across more than two decades.
What makes it work is exactly what it refuses to do: no car chases, no torture scenes, just layered village politics and the slow unwinding of a well-set trap. Watch all seasons of Midsomer Murders online on iFILM.
