The Wild Wild West (1965) is a classic American TV series you can watch online on iFILM. Creator Michael Garrison pitched it as "James Bond on horseback" — and the description stuck. CBS launched the show in 1965, pairing the fading western format with the spy genre at the height of the Bond craze, and it ran for four seasons.

Set during the presidency of Ulysses Grant, the series follows Secret Service agents James West (Robert Conrad) and Artemus Gordon (Ross Martin) across the frontier, stopping megalomaniacs from seizing parts of the United States. Their gadgets are Victorian-era spy equipment: concealed weapons, miniature explosives, elaborate disguises — all decades before steampunk had a name. The show is frequently credited as one of the genre's earliest templates.
