Synopsis
I Love Dick (2016) is an Amazon comedy-drama series you can watch online on iFILM. Filmmaker Chris and her academic husband Sylvere arrive at an artist residency in Marfa, Texas — and both find themselves consumed by the same man: a magnetic professor named Dick.
Director Andrea Arnold, known for Fish Tank and American Honey, adapted Chris Kraus' acclaimed 1997 feminist novel for the screen. Kathryn Hahn plays Chris, whose obsession slowly shifts into something stranger and more personal — an artistic awakening she didn't see coming. Kevin Bacon is Dick, the reluctant object of everyone's projections. Griffin Dunne rounds out the central trio as Sylvere. The series tells its story in Rashomon-style POV shifts: the same moment reads as farce from one character's angle and genuine devastation from another's.
