A feral kitten lives in an alley and trusts nothing. A pit bull is chained nearby, visibly scared despite the size. Their first encounters are all nerves and misread signals. Then, slowly and without announcement, something shifts.

Sullivan tells the whole story through movement and posture, no words needed. The short was made using a hand-drawn 2D style that Pixar rarely uses, which gives it a looser, more fragile feel than the studio's usual work — right for the subject. Short enough to watch twice.
