Synopsis

During surgery on a young patient, something goes badly wrong. The hospital happens to be rolling out a new scheme to publish surgeons' performance numbers, and a private tragedy turns overnight into a case to be picked apart. Colleagues close ranks; even the nurse she's involved with turns away. Director Christine Jeffs isn't interested in the procedure itself but in how a single slip exposes every crack in a person and around them. Simon McBurney and Mickey Sumner round out the cast.
