Synopsis
MythBusters (2003) is Discovery Channel's long-running science entertainment series you can watch online on iFILM. Special effects veterans Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman take myths, movie moments, and internet rumors apart — literally — to find out what holds up and what explodes on contact with reality.
Each episode is its own experiment. Does a falling penny from a skyscraper actually kill? Can a person outrun a fireball? Will duct tape hold a car together at highway speed? The hosts use high-speed cameras, crash-test dummies, industrial quantities of explosives, and occasionally their own bodies. Over eighteen seasons on Discovery, the show became a genuine cultural fixture — teachers screened it in classrooms, kids ran backyard experiments, and "failure is always an option" turned into a real engineering mantra.
