Once a gas rig, then abandoned, the site was lately taken over by an international research team bent on boring deeper into the earth's crust than anyone before. Adrian Paul's character finds empty corridors and a quiet that hides something. The further in he goes, the harder it gets to tell which survivor still has a grip on sanity — and whether the thing that came up the borehole was ever human at all.
