The Super Hero Squad Show (Seasons 1–2)

The Super Hero Squad Show (2009) is a Marvel Animation cartoon series you can watch online on iFILM. When Doctor Doom shatters the Infinity Sword, its splinters — called fractals — rain down over Super Hero City.

To rebuild the sword's power, Doom rounds up a Lethal Legion and sends his villains hunting for every fractal. Standing in their way is the Super Hero Squad, led by Iron Man: Hulk, Thor, Wolverine, Silver Surfer, Falcon and Reptil, with the lineup shifting from one episode to the next. None of it plays straight, though. This is Marvel poking fun at itself, dropping its usually grim heroes into silly scrapes drawn in a big-headed, stubby-legged super-deformed style. Stan Lee voices himself, and the vocal cast pulls in Mark Hamill and Tom Kenny. It makes a light, funny doorway into the Marvel universe for younger viewers and the parents watching along.
