TV-PGSeason 7
Synopsis
Man vs. Wild (2006), Season 7 — five episodes you can watch online on iFILM, with Bear Grylls heading back into the kind of terrain that swallows unprepared travellers.
The opener hands him a guest. Actor Jake Gyllenhaal tags along to find out how an outsider holds up against weather that gives no second chances. From there the season climbs New Zealand's South Island, across the country's highest peaks and through the small misery of lighting a fire from rain-soaked wood. Iceland pairs an ice cap sitting on a live volcano with almost nothing to eat. Utah swaps cold for red rock, a raging river crossing and a descent down stone pinnacles. The finale loops back to New Zealand, where over a hundred people drown each year, and Bear edges across a flooded river on a fallen trunk.
The throughline is contrast — fire against ice, a first-timer against the usual solo format. The Gyllenhaal episode alone is worth a look. Stream Man vs. Wild Season 7 online on iFILM.
