What hatches in her lab gets bored of eating chickens fast, then heads out hunting meatier, two-legged prey. The local cops keep finding mangled bodies and chasing a killer they can't picture. Diane Ladd plainly relishes the mad-scientist role, and the film piles on gore and rubbery jaws with zero restraint.
