Synopsis

His new troops have zero interest in following a man promoted from the ranks. The mission is to locate a missing intelligence agent behind French lines; Assumpta Serna plays Teresa Moreno, a Spanish guerrilla leader who becomes central to the story. Brian Cox turns up as a well-cast antagonist. Sean Bean gives Sharpe a stubborn, low-born resilience that would anchor fourteen more films over the next decade.
