Synopsis
Anne of Green Gables: The Good Stars (2017) is a Canadian family TV movie you can watch online on iFILM, directed by John Kent Harrison. Anne Shirley is turning thirteen, and the world grows more complicated by the week — a sleepover that spirals, a cooking disaster, and the start of something unsettled with Gilbert Blythe she can't yet put a name to.
Martin Sheen plays Matthew Cuthbert with the kind of restrained warmth that makes Green Gables feel like a place worth fighting for. Ella Ballentine carries the lead; the adaptation preserves Anne's stubbornness intact, which is the right call. Second in a series of TV films based on Lucy Maud Montgomery's novels. 87 minutes.
